An exhibition was opened in Hiroshima prefecture with the aim to show the history and culture of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, to local citizens. This is part of the Friendship Agreement that was signed between Hiroshima and Guanajuato in November 2014.
Rodolfo Gonzalez, President of GPC, attended the inauaguration ceremony of the exhibition along with Mr. Hidehiko Yuzaki, the Governor of Hiroshima, and Mr. Hayashi, the Chairman of Hiroshima prefectural assembly.
The exhibition, titled "11653km : Bridge of Friendship Hiroshima - Guanajuato", is the counterpart of the exhibition with the same name that was held in the state of Guanajuato in November 2014. "11653km" in the title shows the physical distance between Hiroshima prefecture and the state of Guanajuato.
These two exhibitions were organized as a part of the Friendship Agreement between the two entities, aiming at promoting mutual understanding and interest among local citizens toward each other.
Traditional potteries and wooden toys, lether products and many other craftworks provided from Guanajuato state government were displayed at the exhibition, together with photographs and panels that explain the history, culture and touristic sites of the state.
